Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to me. Here are a few fundamental principles that I follow:
* I will not ask for your personal information, unless truly needed.
* I will not share personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, or protect our rights.
* I will not store personal information on my servers unless required for the ongoing operation of my website.

Read the information below for more specific details.

Website Visitors

The browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request is collected. The purpose in collecting this information is to better understand how visitors use the website.

From time to time, Tidbits by Taylor may release non personally identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

I also collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on my blog. Commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrator of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally Identifying Information

The gathering of personally identifying information will depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, I ask visitors who comment on my blog to provide a username and email address. I collect emails from those who wish to receive updates via email.  Information is collected only as is necessary or appropriate. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website related activities.

Mailerlite – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.  Please refer to Mailerlite’s privacy policy for further information.

Aggregated Statistics

Tidbits by Taylor may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors at its website, such as use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. These statistics may be displayed publicly or provided to others.

Protection of Certain Personally Identifying Information

Potentially personally identifying information will not be rented or sold to anyone.  Information will only be disclosed in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Tidbits by Taylor believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect its property or rights, third parties or the public at large.

If you are a registered user of Tidbits by Taylor website and have supplied your email address, you may occasionally receive an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Tidbits by Taylor. I expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send me a request (for example via a support email or via one of my feedback mechanisms), I reserve the right to publish it in order to help me clarify or respond to your request or to help me support other users.

Tidbits by Taylor takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally identifying information.
