2023 Favourites
Welcome, 2024! I’ve had a pretty laid-back year in 2023. You didn’t see me as active on the blog as I was pregnant with our third child and then welcomed Bryson in September. So I did not do my seasonal favourites, therefore, I thought I would just do one big blog post recapping my favourite things in 2023! Read on to see what I’ve been loving!
2023 Favourites
Gentle Babies: Essential Oils and Natural Remedies for Pregnancy, Childbirth, Infants and Young Children
I just found out we were pregnant in January, so after hearing good reviews about this book I purchased it from Thrift Books. I wanted to include essential oils and natural remedies this time during my pregnancy and childbirth and this book helped recommend the right products for every need. I would recommend this book if you also would like to try essential oils in your pregnancy/childbirth but don’t know where to start or how to use them.
Thieves Hand Sanitizer
It’s not a new favourite, but worth mentioning because it is a tried and true fave of mine. I like to use hand sanitizer when in public but I don’t have a sink to wash my hands. However, I don’t like using most store-bought sanitizers full of alcohol and chemicals. That’s why I love this one. It smells good, and I feel good about using it. I could eat with my hands right after using it and not worry about consuming any chemicals from my hands.
If you would like to purchase from Young Living, I would love it if you would use my referral number 12672064 at no extra cost to you. Also, if you have any further questions about Young Living don’t hesitate to send me a message 🙂
Dime Tinted Wonderscreen
I’ve shared how much I love Dime skincare before, but this is another new favourite that I tried in the spring, and have been wearing ever since! I haven’t had to wear foundation because I’ve just been reaching for this stuff! It’s sunscreen-first but has a light colour to it for a sunkissed glow – also a clean formula with ingredients to combat redness, fine lines and wrinkles, too. Worth the 5 stars it’s got!
Ice Roller
I jumped on the bandwagon for this trend and honestly really like using it! It feels so good on the face in the morning. I even use it to help me cool down in the summertime after being out in the hot sun. It can be used on the face to boost blood flow, shrink pores, and reduce puffiness and wrinkles. It also relieves eye puffiness and dark circles, leaving your skin revitalized.
Claw Clips
These claw clips work well for long thick hair. This one comes in a pack of four. They feel high quality and the colours are perfectly neutral yet sophisticated. Holds all my hair ALL DAY!!! If you too have THICK long hair, this is the clip for you!!!
Belly Band
The first time I had to use a belly band with my third. This belly band works well to support your belly which in turn helps support your back. I recommend one if you’re pregnant and growing an expanding belly. This brand worked well, was easy to use and was very affordable.
Simple Modern Tumbler
A large 40 oz tumbler to quench your thirst. I’m a big fan of the simple Modern brand. This tumbler is sturdy and keeps your water cold all day and then some. I’ve never had the Stanley cup before but I hear this cup is even better. There are a lot of fun colours to choose from, but I chose the classic black.
I also LOVE their water bottle with a narrow mouth and I got this water bottle for my husband for Christmas. So we are definitely Simple Modern fans 🙂
Lululemon Flare Leggings
A smooth legging, with an ultra-flattering v-shape waistband. These would be great for low-impact workouts or just for casual wear. I wear them for everyday casual wear. I got these in brown instead of my usual black.
Carmelitas
This Easy Carmelitas Recipe consists of a buttery oatmeal bar with chocolate and caramel inside! I mean, nothing beats these sweet bars. They make a large pan so I made a batch of these bars to enjoy over Christmas. So yummy!
White Crew Socks
Apparently, crew socks are in so I had to get them for myself. I’m usually an ankle sock kind of girl, but living in Canada in the winter, I needed to invest in some longer socks to keep my ankles warm! I grabbed this pack from Amazon. They are comfy and cute. Every time I wear my boots I just throw these on and go.
Have you tried any of my 2023 favourites yet?
