Fall Favourites 2022

Master Books

I purchased Master Books Grade K Basic 4 Subject Set for my 5-year-old’s homeschooling this year. I had no idea what to do this year for kindergarten, but a friend of mine mentioned master books so I did some research and went for it. It is such an easy way to get started with homeschooling because it comes with everything you need.

Master Books Basic 4 Bundles include teacher and student materials for 36 weeks of coursework in language arts, math, science, and history – including suggested daily schedules, instruction, student worksheets & quizzes, and answer keys.

I love how easy it is to use, and that it is such an “open-and-go” format. It is also biblically based which is important to us.

Zazubean Chocolate Bars

If you know me, I am a big chocolate fan. I like to keep a secret chocolate stash in the house at all times. And these are my newest chocolate obsession. I haven’t tried all the flavours but the ones I have tried are delicious and I can eat them guilt free! My favourite flavour so far is the Slinky Creamy Hazelnut. I love to have a little morsel of chocolate after eating my lunch or dinner for a little dessert to cleanse my palate afterwards.

These bars are organic fair trade and made without refined sugar. And most of them are made without dairy too, which makes them acne friendly!

Trifle Bowl

Ok so I’ve been searching for a trifle bowl for a while and I finally found one for a good price at bed bath beyond. It is a glass clear bowl perfect for any trifle to show off the beautiful layers. I use it for my Death by Chocolate Trifle shown here.

Neewer 5 in 1 Portable Diffuser Kit with Carrying Case

I bought this for my food photography to help diffuse the light on sunny days. It’s big enough to cover the whole window. It is easy to take out, but it is quite difficult to fold back up and place back in the carrying case. But that’s with any foldable diffuser. I had to search youtube to figure out how to fold it back up!

Food Photography Backdrop Paper 4-Pack Kit

I bought these backdrops for my food photography because they are double-sided and inexpensive. The only downside is that they come rolled up so you have to flatten them to use them. You can easily clean them with a damp cloth and come in a reusable cardboard cylinder you can continue to store them. I would recommend these if you’re just starting out in photography and need some inexpensive backgrounds to start with.

Cosmic Bliss Ice Cream

Cosmic Bliss is a delicious, sustainable, and organic plant-based & grass-fed ice cream. I have only tried the plant-based dark chocolate ice cream, but it is delicious! I love to eat it with some fresh raspberries and chocolate chips. The only thing is, it is extremely expensive, so I will only get it as a treat every once in a while.

Midday Squares

These little squares have become one of my favourite on-the-go midday snacks. I like all the flavours but the Fudge Yah is my favourite. The only flavour I haven’t tried is the cookie dough because Walmart doesn’t sell it. It is vegan, and gluten and dairy free.

Faux-Suede Chelsea Boots

I bought these boots from Old Navy and they are stylish and comfy. I love how easy they are to quickly put on and off. I even bought the black faux leather Chelsea boots online as I was grabbing the link for you guys. So good!

Keto Bars

I used to buy these keto bars from the No sugar Company from Nutters individually to treat myself, but I recently found them at Costco so I had to buy a whole box of them. They are quite pricey but definitely worth it if you buy the whole pack from Costco as opposed to the individually sold bars. These taste like candy bars but contain no refined sugar!  It’s a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth low-carb snack that has the perfect keto snack makeup — 75% healthy fats, 20% protein, and 5% net carbs — and has NO SUGAR. Again, it’s another great on-the-go midday snack!

Lulu Lemon Align Leggings

I love these so much. This is my first pair of the coveted align leggings and they are just as amazing as the hype. These are the softest most comfortable pair of leggings I own. I got the classic black in the 28″ inseam so they pair with everything! I like to wear mine casually but are totally workout-ready too. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I have only had them for a couple of months and so far they are holding up well, however, I have a friend who owns the same ones and is “pilling” quite a bit for her. So I am not sure why. I think if you are rubbing them against things a lot it may happen, or possibly in how you wash them.

Levi Grey Skinny Jeans

I bought the 721 High Rise Skinny Jeans in grey from Levi’s store. Levi’s always has great quality jeans. However, I just found out Bootlegger and Marks sells them for a fraction of what I paid for them. Looks like they are selling out fast online though!
