The Christmas season is the perfect time to show your loved ones how much you appreciate them. If you’re shopping for someone who loves to bake-whether they are a seasoned pastry chef or a home-baking enthusiast like me- you’ve come to the right place! The world of baking is filled with unique and practical tools, gadgets, and ingredients that make the perfect gift.

Just like Jesus was brought gifts on the day of His birth, we believe in the gift of giving as it shows our love to one another. And, as we find joy in these gifts let us remember what Christmas is all about and what we are celebrating- the birth of Jesus Christ 🙂

Holiday Gift Guide for Bakers

All of these products are ones I already own or are on my own wish list as a baking enthusiast. I hope you love my recommendations!

1. Stand Mixer

A stand mixer is a game-changer in any baker’s kitchen. If you’re looking for a splurge gift this is it. The Kitchenaid is the one I have and recommend. It’s good quality and should last a long time. They come in a variety of colours to choose from to fit every home decor.

2. Digital Kitchen Scale

Another gadget I own and love is my digital scale. It’s not something you necessarily need, but it is very convenient to accurately measure ingredients. As every baker knows, it’s important to have the right amount or the recipe may not turn out. I also like to use it so I don’t have to dirty measuring spoons and cups. The one I own is not my favourite because the conversion button is on the bottom which makes it annoying to have to lift it every time. This one is better because all the buttons are right on the top at your convenience and have 5 conversion options.

3. Wilton Cake Decorator

This has been on my list for years now. If I don’t get it gifted, I will be purchasing it myself next year because it is so worth it if you like to decorate your own cake and cupcakes! This set has 55 tips, but doesn’t include the piping bags so complete the gift with some bags and you’re set!

4. Cake Turntable

Another gift for the person who likes to bake cakes. A turntable makes it a lot easier to decorate the cake. It helps achieve smooth frosting and is ideal for decorating cakes with precision.

5. Glass Covered Cake Stand

An elegant way to cover and store your cake or baked goods. Or try this one with a wooden cake stand for a more natural sophistication.

5. Flour Sifter

I had to add flour sifter to this list because mine is getting old and harder to sift. A good flour sifter that is easy to use can be incredibly useful. Some recipes require your dry ingredients to be sifted to acquire smooth results with no lumps so a flour sifter is very useful if your baker doesn’t have a good one yet.

6. Bread Proofing Basket Set

For the home bread baker enthusiast, a proofing basket (also known as a banneton) is an essential tool for shaping and proofing bread dough. This set comes with a bread lame for scoring and a dough whisk for easy mixing. I just got into baking my own sourdough last year and this would be the perfect gift for those just starting or wanting to start baking sourdough as well. You can also add this bread knife for a little something extra.

7. Decorative Cookie Cutters

Cookie cutters come in all shapes and sizes, making them a fun gift for bakers who love to create themed cookies for holidays or special occasions.

8. Cookie Scoops

I love these cookie scoops! They ensure whatever you’re making will be the same size whether you’re scooping pancake batter, muffins, or cookies and make it so easy to scoop. I will say, however, that you need to be careful not to scoop something that is too hard or it may break the metal part that helps scoop it out, but other than that, these work great.

9. Shredder Attachment

This shredder attachment connects to your kitchenaid stand mixer and the mixer does all the work for you. It would be super easy to shred cheese or vegetables for whatever you need.

I hope these gifts will inspire creativity, make delicious treats, and give your loved ones new baking adventures that can be enjoyed all year round. Happy gifting and happy baking!
