Spring Favourites 2021
Happy Wednesday!! Wow, how are we almost half way through the year?! I have been collecting a list of all my favourite things from this past Spring of 2021. Read on to see what I’ve been loving.
Spring Favourites 2021
K&F Concept 72 Inch Camera Tripod
I am obsessed with this tripod! I have used it a few times now, and I am loving it so far. Mind you, this is my first time using a tripod, but so far it is pretty easy to use and it has everything I need. I love how lightweight it is and even comes with a little carry case. It has a 360 degree ball head and detachable monopod (which I am yet to use).
Naude Medi-spa Facial
My husband gifted me a facial for my birthday from Naude Medi-Spa. It was so nice to have some “me time”. I received a silk peel to help de-congest my skin, as I’ve been having problems with acne for awhile. I did notice how smooth my skin was afterwards. However, it didn’t heal my acne as I am still getting congested but it sure did feel nice and make my skin look and feel improved temporarily. The staff is always very friendly and professional as well. If you are in the Lloydminster area, I highly recommend Naude Medi-Spa.
Rocky Mountain Soap Bamboo Brightening Face polish
Another step I have added to my skin care routine is this exfoliator from Rocky Mountain Soap Company. This all-natural face scrub uses bamboo and sugar for deep exfoliation. Invigorating tea tree and eucalyptus combine with French green clay for a detoxifying and stimulating exfoliating face scrub. This scrub smells sooo good and I love how it is full of clean, and good-for-you ingredients. To use you simply mix your Face Polish with cleansing oil, face cream, honey or whatever base you desire. I just mix mine with a little bit of water, then scrub it all over my face and rinse. You can even use it as a face mask which is what I will be trying next!
Lasagna
What is a favourites post without some food mentioned….and this time it is Lasagna. Lasagna is a true comfort food! This Easy Lasagna recipe is so yummy! Trust me on this one, and try it for yourself 🙂
Super Easy Butter Tarts
Another favourite food but on the sweet side, are these scrumptious and easy to make Butter Tarts. The quintessential Canadian sweet treat and perfect to make for Canada Day might I say. I recently made some to take updated photos on my blog post so I had a stash in my freezer for awhile. Whenever I was having a sweet craving I would just take one out of the freezer and devour it. They taste so good out of the freezer!
Physicians Formula All-Star Palette
This is the perfect addition to your summer makeup. I have never had real bronzers or highlighters in my makeup bag before and I love how I get six shades in one in this palette. It also comes at a very decent price. The bronzers and blush shade in this are to die for. Comes in an easy to use palette that can easily be packed for your next summer vacay!
Aminta Stretchy Thong Sandals
Currently on sale for $29.95 if you’re a VIP member on Shoe Dazzle. I love wearing these to church dressed up with a skirt or dress, but I can also dress them down with a pair of shorts while running errands. They do not have much foot support but I still find them comfortable to wear if I’m not doing a lot of walking and they are so cute.
When you sign up to become a VIP member of ShoeDazzle, you’ll receive your First Style from $10. This is regularly a $59.95 value!
DIY Photo Backdrop
I made this DIY food photography backdrop and I am loving it! I made it by sanding down a piece of plywood, painting it with my parents leftover blue paint, then I used a matte spray paint over top since it was a semi-gloss finish. I then went over it with a wire brush to rough it up a bit but I didn’t go over it too much. Next, I will paint the under side a different colour for a 2-in-1 background for my food photography!
