Summer Favourites 2022
The Acne Protocol
The Acne Protocol is an ebook created by Sisley Killam a registered holistic nutritionist. She shares holistic lifestyle tips, nutrition advice, and solutions for clear skin. I bought this ebook back in June in hopes of clearing my acne. Mind you, my acne isn’t as bad as a lot of others who have cystic acne but it was not normal for me and it was frustrating trying to clear my skin with no luck for the past couple of years. With her advice, I have been trying to eat a more nourishing diet, work on my mindset revolving around my skin, made some necessary lifestyle changes, and added recommended supplements. I have noticed a definite improvement in my skin for sure.
I also have been using the Dime Beauty Skincare for a few months as well which seems to be a good skincare line my skin has been loving. I mentioned it in my last Spring faves post.
If you’ve been struggling with acne I encourage you to check out Sisley Killam and see if the Acne Protocol is right for you.
Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
I added this into my skincare routine by recommendation of The Acne Protocol. I love this exfoliant because it is a unique leave-on formula that’s also gentle. Exfoliates dead skin cells while clearing pores for a more even, radiant tone. It contains Salicylic Acid which is a good alternative to physical exfoliants. It works wonders on my skin!
Altar’d State Oversize Tee
This tee is soft, and comfy, and gives you the perfectly oversized look without it actually looking too big for you. It pairs great with bike shorts!
Dandy Blend
Since going decaf, I decided to try this dandy blend to replace my morning coffee. I was genuinely surprised and pleased by how much this mimics real coffee. I actually love the taste of it and I love that it is actually good for you too! It is also quick and easy to make as well. All you have to do is dissolve in boiling water, and I add a bit of honey and almond milk to mine as well.
Starfrit Can Opener
I know this is such a simple thing but it makes such a difference after using an old can opener that you used to struggle to use. When my old can opener was on the fritz I picked up this Starfrit can opener from Superstore for a good price and boy was I pleased with it. No more struggling to open up cans! It removes the lid completely and can pop it into the garbage without touching it. The one thing I cant say is if it lasts because I just bought it recently but so far so good.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Scones
I made a batch of these recently because hello….pumpkin season! They were as delicious as I remembered. A real treat I make every Fall, and sometimes even throughout the rest of the year, because who says you can’t have pumpkin year round?
