These yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls are a tasty snack option. Great for meal prepping as they are quick to make. Made with just five simple ingredients, this recipe yields about twenty 1-inch balls that freeze nicely!

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls are made without oats. Instead, they are made with cocoa powder and chocolate protein powder. I’ve used Vega Protein and Greens Chocolate Flavour in this recipe, as well as Four Sigmatic Protein Powder. I have an Energy Ball recipe with oats, chocolate chips, and peanut butter here.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • They are healthy for you as they are naturally sweetened with honey, and packed with protein.
  • Perfect for pre and post-workout snack
  • Easy to take on the go
  • No need to bake them, making them very quick to make

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Add all ingredients into a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are combined. You should have a soft, and pliable dough.

Roll into balls and refrigerate until set, at least an hour.

Storage Tips

Store in a plastic bag or container to keep fresh. They are best eaten straight from the fridge but are stable at room temperature if you want to take them on the go. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Recipe Substitutions

If you only have vanilla protein powder on hand, you can substitute it in place of the chocolate. Just increase your cocoa powder to 1/3 cup to keep the chocolatey-ness.
