You are going to love this Post-Workout PB & Jelly Smoothie because it tastes exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but without the bread! A great combination of carbs, fat, and protein to meet all your nutritional needs. Healthy and delicious!

I was visiting my sister last week and we made this healthy post-workout smoothie together. This smoothie tastes just like peanut butter and jelly and is full of nutrition.  It is the perfect way to end your workout.

My sister Brittany made up this recipe herself as she tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle by exercising and eating healthy. And she definitely makes a mean smoothie I can tell you that.

Smoothies are very quick and easy to prepare as well. Keep some frozen fruit on hand just for your smoothies. There are so many varieties you can make, however, this one is definitely one of my faves and has a great combination of carbs, fat, and protein to meet your nutritional needs.

Is a Peanut Butter Smoothie good after a workout?

Peanut butter is popular with people who work out as it contains a good mix of essential nutrients, which makes it a good source of protein and can help give you the boost you need without feeling overly full.

Everything in this post-workout pb&j smoothie provides you with the necessary nutrition your body needs after a workout.

Post Workout PB & Jelly Smoothie

To make this lush post-workout PB & jelly smoothie you will need

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peanut butter (you can add more if you like more of a nutty flavour)
  • 1/2 scoop of superfood blend (or any green powder will work) We used  Tonic Alchemy which is full of nutrition.
  • 1 tablespoon Qi’a Superfood( or just plain chia seeds will do)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (we used DIESEL French Vanilla). You should consume protein after your workout to help repair and build muscle.

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. After blending you can pour into a glass and enjoy after your workout, or just for a good healthy snack or meal replacement. Tastes just like peanut butter and jelly you won’t be able to resist making this after every workout.

Another protein powder that I love is the Young Living Vanilla Spice. It supports your workout routine with a proprietary five-protein blend, Orange premium essential oil, BCAAs, enzymes, and probiotics to support metabolism! It also tastes delicious!
