Brown Sugar Icing

A sweet icing great spread on spice cakes and chocolate alike.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except icing sugar in small saucepan. Let it come to a boil for 2 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and add icing sugar to thicken. Stir vigorously to get rid of lumps. Spread on warm cake.
