A basic recipe made with simple ingredients. Layers of cinnamon sugar make this cake oh so scrumptious. Enjoy with a nice big cup of coffee.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Blend together margarine or butter, eggs, and white sugar.
Add vanilla extract and baking powder. Stir.
Mix together soured milk, and baking soda. Add alternatively with flour to the cake batter until combined.
Pour some batter on bottom of cake pan, just enough to cover bottom, and sprinkle some filling on top. Pour rest of batter on top and then rest of filling.
Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Let cool completely before slicing.
Cover leftover cake and store at room temperature or in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
